Bennu: one date, two different probabilities

A probability for one day and a cumulative probability across many encounters are not competing answers. The NASA figures describe different event sets. That distinction is the whole point of this entry.

The date is kept as a modelled encounter of interest. The page does not turn it into a guaranteed collision or assume that an impact would have the same consequences as every other asteroid scenario. Better measurements can revise an orbital model; its publication date travels with the numbers.
