88 Reasons: the 1988 window and a sequel

A Fall 1988 critique by Dean Halverson describes the original window as running from sunset on 11 September to sunset on 13 September. This record keeps the range, rather than making 13 September an exact universal instant.

Michigan State University’s collection discussion identifies the later sequel. The earlier site invented the neat title “89 Reasons”, which made a better joke than a bibliographic record. That has been corrected.

Sales totals are left out. Printed copies, copies distributed and books sold are different measures. The failed window is supported without borrowing an unverified popularity statistic.
